III. Treasury Report and Financials
The SnoVARC bank balance as of 9/25/2026 was $6,428. SnoVARC’s membership roster is now at 51 members, which includes 13 new members, an all-time high for the club. Tom made the motion to approve Lindy’s Treasurer’s report. Mike seconded the motion and all members approved. Motion passed.
IV. Committee and Task Force Reports
Repeater Task Force:
Cougar Mountain Repeater – Ken reconnected the disconnected reflector. It is a mystery who was working on the reflector that caused it to disconnect.
Myers Repeater – Audio still a little “mushy” and overdriven. Ken would like Ryan to assist him in adjusting the controller.
Carnation Repeater – On October 2nd Tom, Bob and Rowland removed the antenna, antenna mounting parts and any coaxial from the roof of City Hall. The Carnation repeater is now located in Tom’s home transmitting at 25W. The repeater’s new location does not provide the same RF coverage as when it was located at City Hall. Tom asked members to try to reach the new Carnation repeater location using their radios and let Tom know if you can reach the repeater or not.
Emergency Planning and Mobilization:
EYEWARN – The project is not attracting as many participants as planned. The EYEWARN team is considering condensing the reach of EYEWARN to a smaller, more local area. More expansion will take place once we have the local program operating as we want.
V. Old Business – None
VI. New Business
Microsoft is offering 25 grants to 20 non-profit organizations. If anyone has any ideas that can benefit the club or community, please let Rowland know.
Elmer session presented by Howard (How to build a Go-Box) was well received by all who attended. Howard did a wonderful job.
Newly formed Tech Team: Ken, Konstantin, Tom, Ryan and Mark Miller.
