IV. Committee and Task Force Reports

Repeater Task Force:

Cougar Mountain Repeater – Some issues were encountered while trying to reduce the repeater power to get 3 watts of power to drive the amplifier. When completed, 3 watts of power will drive the amplifier to deliver 100 watts of power to a 9db antenna. Two computer programming license keys were provided by the vendor. The correct license key was determined and now all members of the Tech Committee are capable of reading and updating repeater settings.  More work is needed to complete the final adjustments before the repeater can be installed on the mountain.

Myers Repeater – no changes – nothing to report.

Carnation Repeater – no changes – nothing to report.

Tom reported that he has tuned 3 out of the 4 duplexers that were in the SNOVARC inventory. The fourth duplexer is a 220 MHz duplexer.

Emergency Planning and Mobilization:

EYEWARN – Rowland contacted Clark County to ask them which agency accepts EYEWARN information once EYEWARN is activated. Clark County informed Rowland that they would deliver the information to whichever County that requested the information.

Education and Community Outreach:

Ham Tech class – Location TBD. SNOVARC needs to ascertain which SNOVARC VE examiners have VE credentials that are current.

Ham Development and Rookie Roundtable – no change

Carnation Space:

Status of Carnation space equipment move – no change

Status of Equipment Inventory Project – Tom inventoried two carry cases with test gear and power supplies that were stored at FS 86.  In addition, he inventoried 4 repeater duplexers and two passband filters.
