When: Thursdays at 6:00 pm, weather permitting (except the first Thursday of each month, which is our monthly meeting)
Where: McCormick Park, Duvall (down Stephens, next to the police station)
As the weather warms up, we like to hold a weeknight gathering in the park with fellow hams. Whether you’re a new ham, a seasoned veteran, or just interested in ham radio, come join us for a little fun in the park. We like to enjoy a number of activities:
- Show and tell. Show off your gear, or check out gear others have brought.
- Get help or advice. You may find someone who can help with an issue or brainstorm with you.
- See and operate an HF station. Periodically one is brought and set up.
- Socialize. Chat with fellow hams and make some connections and friendships.
We meet in the lower parking lot, down by the fire pit. There’s usually plenty of parking, and a bathroom a few hundred feet away.
It’s a good idea to bring a chair and whatever else you need to be comfortable. Don’t forget a radio to check into our Thursday night nets. An HT and a decent antenna is usually enough at this location.
