IV. Committee and Task Force Reports

Repeater Task Force:

Cougar Mountain Repeater – Repeater went down. After a thorough investigation by Tom and Shawn, it was determined that a faulty outlet on the above head power strip was the most likely cause. The power supply basically turned itself off. Tom and Shawn made on site modifications that they believe will resolve the problem. Everyone should monitor the repeater to see if the same issue returns. Currently, ECHOLINK is down and that could be because the internet connection is not working. More investigation will take place to retore the ECHOLINK connection to Cougar Mountain. Currently, there is no UPS for the repeater. Tom has the UPS in his shop and is under observation to see if the UPS is faulty.

Myers Repeater – Tom has received approval to purchase the equipment to allow the Myers repeater to be accessed by the internet. This will allow remote upgrades and software repairs and provide the repeater to be accessed by ECHOLINK.

Carnation Repeater – Needs a controller. Tom prefers the ARCOM model. Paul has a spare controller that he is willing to donate to the club. The club can order the ARCOM.

Emergency Planning and Mobilization:

EYEWARN – on hold for now.

Education and Community Outreach:

Ham Radio Tech Class – The LWHC runs more classes and the club will refer Technician license candidates to contact LWHC for test dates.

Carnation Space:

This is a closed action item. The new Carnation City Hall location is on an indefinite hold.

V. Old Business

Status of Club Shirts – Store is very busy; we need to wait until after the Christmas rush to discuss club related merchandise.

VI. New Business

There is an upcoming election for club President. Tom informed everyone that he would like to be president for another term. He invited all members, who are interested, to feel free to run against him. Tom requested that you send a letter to Lindy to express your intensions to run for President.
