Monthly Meeting Minutes
December 2nd, 2025
I. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Tom at 7:00 pm on Zoom.
Tom called for nominations for the office of SNOVARC Board President. Tom reminded everyone in attendance that he will not be running for SNOVARC Board President during the 2026 elections. Tom asked the attendees if they wanted to nominate anyone to be the SNOVARC Board President. There were no nominations made during the meeting. Tom reminded members they could contact Tom or Mike with their nominations.
Members in attendance were:
Tom (WA7TBP) – President, Kirt (K7KDW) – Vice President, Mike (KJ7JNG) – Secretary, Ken (W7ECK), Konstantin (KK7KO), Bob (KI7RMO), Larry (AF7RW), Colin (W2COL)
II. Approval of Board Meeting Minutes
The meeting minutes from the meeting that occurred on November 3rd, 2025 were approved. Tom made the motion to approve the minutes. Mike seconded the motion. All members voted to approve the minutes. Motion passed.
III. Treasury Report and Financials
As of 12/2/25 there is $6,704.00 in the treasury. Membership remains at 31. There are currently 6 members who have sent in their dues for 2026. Tom made the motion to approve Lindy’s report, Mike seconded and all members approved. Motion passed.
IV. Committee and Task Force Reports
Repeater Task Force:
Cougar Mountain Repeater – A ground hum can be heard while using Allstar, IRLP, Echolink or between linked repeaters. The ground hum is not heard during direct RF communications while radio operators are both on the same repeater. Ken and Konstantin suspect that the power supply to the Cougar Mountain raspberry pi node is defective. Ken and Konstantin will investigate.
Myers Repeater – Ryan found that a cable, leading to the controller, was plugged into the wrong port. He plugged the cable into the correct port and the Myers repeater now can link to the Cougar Mountain repeater. While Ryan was at the Myers Repeater site, he also updated the controller firmware.
Carnation Repeater – Working well.
Emergency Planning and Mobilization:
EYEWARN – November 20th zoom meeting was very well attended and garnered a lot of interest.
V. Old Business
SNOVARC officer 2026 planning meeting to be held Tuesday, December 4th at 6pm.
VI. New Business
Next Elmer session is on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30pm at Duvall Fire Station 166.
Mike asked for a headcount for those planning to attend the SNOVARC Holiday Party on Thursday, December 4th at 6pm.
