Monthly Meeting Minutes

April 7th, 2026

I.  Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order by Tom at 7:00 pm on Zoom.

Members in attendance were:

Tom (WA7TBP) – President, Kirt (K7KDW) – Vice President, Lindy (KG7IFA) – Treasurer, Mike (KJ7JNG) – Secretary, Rowland (K7RWB), Konstantin (KK7KO), Larry (AF7RW)

II. Approval of Board Meeting Minutes

The meeting minutes from the meeting that occurred on March 3rd, 2026 were approved. Tom made the motion to approve the minutes. Mike seconded the motion. All members voted to approve the minutes. Motion passed.

III. Treasury Report and Financials

As of 03/30/26 there is $6,986 in the treasury. Current membership is 36, including 7 new members. Members who do not pay dues by May or 2026 will be dropped off the roster. Tom made the motion to approve Lindy’s Treasurer’s report. Mike seconded the motion and all members approved. Motion passed.

IV. Committee and Task Force Reports

Repeater Task Force:

Cougar Mountain Repeater – Working well. Need to find time in springtime to install new repeater

Myers Repeater – Working well.

Carnation Repeater – The club can no longer operate out of Carnation City Hall. The repeater was placed at the home of Paul Butzi (W7PFB).  Tom and Rowland performed some coverage tests and were disappointed that the RF footprint had decreased. Tom will work with Paul to see if there is a coax cable issue at Paul’s home.

Emergency Planning and Mobilization:

EYEWARN – Moving along with ESF taking a lead role to get all the contributors together to put together an educational meeting in the near future. 

King County Badging Permissions – SNOVARC members that do not have a King County badge are personally responsible for any injuries or damages incurred while on drills, exercises or actual events.

VI. New Business

Next trip to the King County EOC is on Saturday, April 11th. Bus leaves at 10:30 am.                                                      Following the Thursday night net on April 30th, an exercise will be held.                                                                                                    The May 6th Elmer Session will be about how to make an antenna out of a tape measurer.                                                                                             May 9th there is a First Aid Class. SAVE THE DATE: National Night Out at the Tolt Commons.
