Monthly Meeting Minutes
October 1st, 2024
I. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Tom at 7:01 pm on Zoom.
Members in attendance were:
Tom (WA7TBP), Kirt (K7KDW) – Vice President, Lindy (KJ7IFA) – Treasurer, Mike (KJ7JNG) – Secretary, Ken (W7ECK), Shawn (K7ATA), Ralph (KC7QXD), Rowland (K7RWB), Bob (K7RMO), Colin (W2COL), Larry (AF7RW)
II. Approval of Board Meeting Minutes
The meeting minutes from the meeting that occurred on September 3rd, 2024 were approved.
III. Treasury Report and Financials
As of 10/01/24 there was $9,343 in the treasury. SNOVARC has 46 dues paying members for 2024. Thank you very much to Kirt for your Microsoft matching funds and to Bill Collier for your donation to the club.
IV. Committee and Task Force Reports
Repeater Task Force:
Cougar Mountain Repeater – Working well – changed out remote web service, keeps resetting, working on it
Myers Repeater – Working well
Carnation Repeater – Working well
Tom’s 220 repeater is currently out of service. Tom will be installing a new BridgeCom 220 repeater soon. Tom and Ken from ARCOM are still trying to find a date that works for both to meet.
Emergency Planning and Mobilization:
EYEWARN – Rowland reported that Greg Bawden is polling other agencies to find out if there is interest in EYEWARN. If there is, then we will move on to the next step. If there is not, then we have to decide on the viability of the program.
Education and Community Outreach:
Thursday Night Roundtable/Ham Development – No update.
Equipment Inventory Status – No changes to date.
V. Old Business
Status of Club Shirts – Sandy’s Duvall Dazzling Designs has created 3 SNOVARC garments that Tom will show the team at the Elmer Session on 10/3
VI. New Business
SNOVARC Holiday Dinner – Ixpata in Redmond Ridge December 5th at 6pm
