Monthly Meeting Minutes

November 4th, 2025

I.  Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order by Tom at 7:00 pm on Zoom.

Members in attendance were:

Tom (WA7TBP) – President, Kirt (K7KDW) – Vice President, Mike (KJ7JNG) – Secretary, Ken (W7ECK), Konstantin (KK7KO)

II. Approval of Board Meeting Minutes

The meeting minutes from the meeting that occurred on October 7th, 2025 were approved. Tom made the motion to approve the minutes. Mike seconded the motion. All members voted to approve the minutes. Motion passed.

III. Treasury Report and Financials

As of 10/7/25 there is $6,674.00 in the treasury. Membership remains at 31. Tom made the motion to approve Lindy’s report, Mike seconded and all members approved. Motion passed.

IV. Committee and Task Force Reports

Repeater Task Force:

Cougar Mountain Repeater – Tom asked Ken to adjust the repeater time to match daylight savings time. Ken reported that he is having some problems with the repeater accepting DTMF tones that would allow Ken to make changes and updates to the Cougar Mt. repeater.  This is a recent development and Ken will investigate.

Myers Repeater – Ken will be placing a thermostat that will control the lightbulb housed inside the repeater cabinet. Currently, a lightbulb is in the always-on state to keep the repeater warm. By adding the thermostat, it will decrease power consumption and increase the life of the lightbulb. He is also tweaking the Port 2 pot to lower the gain on the audio of the repeater which seems to be “hot” during transmission.

Carnation Repeater – Working well.

Emergency Planning and Mobilization:

EYEWARN – Official roll-out went very well. Many attendees are interested.

Education and Community Outreach:

Thursday Night Roundtable/Ham Development – Not well attended.

Equipment Inventory Status:

ARCOM Controller that is now being used in the Myers repeater was moved from inventory to active in the inventory report.

V. Old Business

Status of Club Shirts – Tom cannot get in touch with Sandy. She is swamped with large orders. The club has not really purchased many things from Sandy, as she needs to focus on her larger and repeat customers.

VI. New Business

Next Elmer session is on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30pm at Duvall Fire Station 166.

Mike asked for a headcount for those planning to attend the SNOVARC Holiday Party on Thursday, December 4th at 6pm.

Tom reminded everyone in attendance that he will not be running for President during the 2026 elections.

Meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m
