IV. Committee and Task Force Reports
Repeater Task Force:
Cougar Mountain Repeater – Working well.
Myers Repeater – Working well. Ken still tweaking the controller to improve audio. When auto mix is set to OFF, he hears muted and compressed audio. When he sets auto mix to ON, audio is hot. Possible ARCOM issue.
Carnation Repeater – Need to move because the new Carnation City Hall location does not have any space to host the repeater. Paul Butzi (W7PFB) offered to host the Carnation repeater at his home. His home location has a back-up generator as well as STARLINK as an internet provider.
SNOVARC Crossband repeaters – Question: Now that Meyers and Cougar are linked, do we really need to continue to support the club’s crossband repeaters? Considering turning down crossband repeaters in the future.
Emergency Planning and Mobilization:
EYEWARN – Next meeting is on Monday March 9th. Mike to give an EYEWARN presentation to the LWHC on Saturday, March 14th.
Jason from King County informed Rowland that SNOVARC club members that have a King County badge are covered for injuries and damages during drills, exercises, and actual events. SNOVARC members that don’t have a King County badge are personally responsible for any injuries or damages incurred during drills, exercises or actual events
V. Old Business – None
VI. New Business
Next trip to the King County EOC is on Saturday, April 4th. Contact Rowland for transportation details.
